Terry Yegbe
Terry Yegbe, born on 25 January 2001, is a Ghanaian centre back who began his football journey at the West African Football Academy (WAFA), where he developed his defensive awareness, composure, and leadership qualities. After graduating from WAFA, he moved to Vision FC in 2020, continuing his progression in Ghanaian football. In 2022, Yegbe earned his first European experience with a loan move to SJK Seinäjoki II in Finland, later breaking into their first team in 2023. His consistent performances opened the door to a transfer to Swedish top-flight side IF Elfsborg in January 2024.
Yegbe’s career took another big step in August 2025 when Elfsborg sold him to French Ligue 1 club FC Metz. On the international stage, he made his Ghana debut on 18 November 2024 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium. From WAFA’s ranks to Europe’s competitive leagues, he has steadily risen while maintaining the discipline and technical foundation instilled in him at the Academy. Today, he stands as a proud WAFA graduate making his mark in top-level football.
