Gideon is a WAFA graduate. He started with loanspells to FC Liefering and Sturm Graz before being transferred to Red Bull Salzburg. From Salzburg he went on loan again to Zulte Waregem, Vitoria Guimaraes and Bordeaux. In 2022 Gideon was sold to Auxerre. At Red Bull he won the UEFA Youth League. Gideon was part of the Black Stars who went to the World Cup and Africa Cup in 2022. He was part of the Black Stars who played at AFCON 2023.
